James Fay Fox

Services for James Fay Fox, age 85, of Winnsboro, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Baskin Baptist church with Rev. Marion Spence officiating.

Burial will follow in Union Church Cemetery near Baskin under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mr. Fox served in the United States Navy Sea Bee's from 1945 to 1947. He also served on the Board of Directors of Progressive State Bank for 33 years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents: David and Metoline Fox; wife, Enola Fox; son, David Fay Fox; brother, Carlton Fox; and sister Mildred Reagan.

Survivors include his wife, Joe Fox, Winnsboro; daughter, Leah Renwick, Baton Rouge; sisters: Betty C. McDonald, Delhi; and Catherine Jenkins of Winnsboro; a number of nieces and nephews; and favorite great-grandson, Trey Trichel.

Pallbearers will be Todd Lee, Steve Chapman, Steve Albritton, Carl Ritchie, Trey Trichel and Sam Stevens.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Board of Directors of Progressive State Bank.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
