Stay on Court, the annual children's tennis clinic sponsored by Ann B. McIntyre, will have its 2010 run next week.

The clinic will start Monday, June 14, at the Davis Park Tennis Complex.

Returning to direct the clinic is Phil Trahan, a member of the University of Louisiana at Monroe Athletic Hall of Fame and captain of the university's 1974 team, which finished sixteenth at the NCAA Division 1 Tennis Championship.

Trahan's collegiate career included a win over future World Top Tenner Tim Gullikson and an appearance in the third round of the NCAA Championship where he took second seed Victor Amaya to three sets before succumbing.

The clinic, which will run until next Friday, June 18, is free and will run according to the following schedule:

Grades kindergarten to second graders will be taught from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., third to fifth grader will be taught from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and sixth to twelfth graders will be taught from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Approximately 50 young players participated in last year's clinic.

All levels of experience from beginner to advanced are invited to attend. More information can be obtained from Ann McIntyre at 435-3201.
