John Williams officiating. Burial followed at Myrtle Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Mr. Chapman was born June 2, 1951 in Wisner, and passed away Monday, May 24, 2010 at Winnsboro. He was a resident of Winnsboro, a retired security guard from Angola, and a member of the Sardis Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, T. J. Chapman, mother, Vara (Womack) Chapman; mother-in-law, Louise Williams; sister-in-law, Connie Williams. Survivors include his wife, Belinda (Williams) Chapman of Winnsboro, son, Greg Chapman and wife Bonnie, daughter, April Carman and husband David, all of Winnsboro; sisters: Nelda Morse and Susie Martin and husband Elvon, all of Winnsboro; brothers: Thomas A. Chapman and wife Janet of Sicily Island, Marvin Chapman and wife Kathy of Winnsboro; father-in-law, Rev. John Williams and wife Gwen of Winnsboro; brother-in-law, Mark Williams and wife Lanette of Winnsboro; sisters-in-law: Peggy Williams and husband Bethal of Winnsboro, Betty Day and husband Donnie of Cleveland, Texas; grandchildren: Jennifer Renee Chapman, Kimberly Michelle Chapman, Jesse Lane Carman, and Connie Lynn Carman; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Shirley Ferrington Funeral services for Shirley Ferrington, 62, of Winnsboro, were held at Magnolia Baptist Church on Saturday, May 29, 2010. with Dr. Alan Miller, Rev. Jason Porter, Rev. James Carson, Rev. Joe Stroud officiating. Burial followed at South Central Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Mrs. Ferrington was born Aug. 14, 1947 in Texas, and passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010 at her residence in Winnsboro. She was the office manager at Temple Baptist Church and a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church. Shirley was a very loving and supportive wife of her husband's ministry. She had a deep love for God and now rejoice that she is with her Lord and is no longer in pain, for she is well today and happy. She was preceded in death by her father, Elvis Barnes, and mother, Donna Barnes. Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Ron Ferrington of Winnsboro, daughter, Stacy Moroni and husband Bill of Winnsboro; brother, John Barnes and wife Wilma of Elkhorn City, KY; five grandchildren: Mark, Cody, Kerri, Brian, and Michael of Winnsboro; one great-granddaughter, Piper Moroni; aunt, Evelyn Magee of Hooks, Texas; and survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was a retired bus driver for Madison Parish School Board and a retired custodian for Franklin Parish School Board, and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Delhi. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Wallace, mother, Lula Arcola (Beaube) Wallace; sons: Phillip Wallace and Troy Wallace; brothers: Ernest Wallace Jr. and Alvin Wallace.
