The Louisiana Patriots (7-1) will be back in action at 7 p.m. Saturday night when they visit the Third Coast Hard Hittaz in West Columbia, Texas. In their last outing, the Patriots downed the Gulf Coast Outlaws 28-0 last week to improve their record to 7-1 on the season.

It was the fourth shutout of the year for the Patriots and the second consecutive victory over the Outlaws during the 2010 season. During the first quarter, the Patriots scored on a five yard pass completion to tight-end Mitch Cooper from Kenny Kitchen, the two point conversion was unsuccessful.

The patriots scored again in the second quarter, when Donavon Williams intercepted an Outlaw pass and returned it 72-yards for at touchdown to give the Patriots a 12-0 lead at halftime. The Patriots found one thing to work on this week in practice as the team missed both two-point conversion attempts in the first half.

The Patriots got things going early in the third quarter when quarterback Kenny Kitchen engineered a scoring drive with runs and passes, which ended with a 32-yard touchdown pass to Kenneth Miller. Vernon Mills converted the Patriot's first two-point attempt following the score when he crossed the goal from three-yards out on a powerful run to give the Patriots 20-0 advantage at the end of the third quarter.

In the final period of play, the Patriots managed another score on a 36-yard touchdown pass from Kenneth Miller to Herman Harris. The two point conversion was a successful run by Miller to make the final score 28-0. Montreal Miller recorded two sacks in the game and Tra Rae Givens and Derrick Hoard also recorded one sack each. Donovan Williams snagged a pair of interceptions in the game and Terry Poe and Michael McFarland each had one pick. The Patriot defense has allowed just 31 points in the 2010 season for an average of 4.42 points per game.
