James R. Burns
Funeral services for James R. Burns, 61, of Crowville, were held Friday, April 23, 2010 at Gill's chapel with Rev. Gary Courtney officiating. Burial followed at Coax Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Burns was born to the union of his parents William and Jaunita Robinett Burns on Jan. 9, 1949 in Rayville, and passed from this life on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at his residence in Crowville. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was also Vice President of North Louisiana Bluegrass Association.
Mr. Burns is survived by his wife of 30 years: Joy Burns and son: Shelton Burns, both of Crowville; brother: Sammy Burns and his wife Mary; niece: Heather Burns and nephew: Michael Burns, all of Winnsboro.
Pallbearers were Kevin Arrighi, Michael Burns, Lance Guy, Joe Ulmer, Church Smith, and Richard Zachary.
Honorary Pallbearer was Debby Driskill.

Jack Cameron
Brother Jack Cameron was born on Sept. 28, 1922 to the late Bryant and Carrie Bell Cameron in Liberty, Miss. He departed this life on March 30, 2010. He accepted Christ at an early age, after moving to Winnsboro, he united with the Pleasant Star Baptist Church and later united with Cuba Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Harrison Thomas. Bro. Cameron enlisted in the United States Army and was honorable discharged in 1945. He received the following medals: World War II Medal, (1941-1945) Medal of Good Conduct, Japan's Army of Occupation Medal, Heroic Meritorious Achievement Medal, and Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal (1941-1945).
Bro. Cameron was united in Holy Matrimony to Martha Lee Rollins Cameron.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Enoch Cameron, B.C. Cameron, and Joe Lee Washington.
Bro. Cameron leaves to cherish memories his wife, Martha Cameron; 10 sons: Lionel (Betty) Cameron, Johniel (Laurie) Cameron, Samuel Cameron, Terry (Sandra) Cameron, all of Seattle, Wash.; Chester Cameron, Marvin (Sandra) Rollins, both of Houston, Texas; Leonard Cameron, Delhi; Trenino Rollins, Eloy, Ariz.; Jack (Karla) Cameron Jr., Winnsboro; Christopher (Amber) Cameron, St. Louis, Mo.; five daughters: Corene Tyson, Oakland, Calif.; Selma Cameron, Brenda Hill (Roberto), both of Ontario, Canada; Gayle McDaniel, Chicago, Sharon "Punchie" Hypolite (Ricky), Houston; four sisters: Ollie Mae Bass, Ruth Turner, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; Ruby Coleman, Seattle, Wash.; Annie Bell Washington, Winnsboro; 33 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Stephen Dale Flowers
Funeral services for Stephen Dale Flowers, 33, of Bastrop were held at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home Sunday, April 25, 2010, with Rev. Ron Ferrington officiating. Burial followed at Eureka Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Flowers was born Jan. 27, 1977 in West Monroe, and passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Bastrop. He was a resident of Bastrop, a former Marine, and a member of the New Life Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Flowers; paternal great-grandfather Ebbie Lee Flowers; paternal great-grandmother Vida Flowers; and maternal grandfather Dewey "Nubbin" King.
He is survived by his father Dale Flowers and wife Dana of Harrison, Ark.; mother Darlene (King) Tubbs and husband Zane of Bastrop; his fiance' Bridget Denton of Bastrop; son Stephen Joshua Kane Flowers of Bastrop; step son Dusty Denton of Bastrop; sister Jaime Updegraff and husband Noah of Fayetteville, Ark.; maternal grandmother Gladys King of Gilbert; paternal grandmother Jean Flowers of Harrison, Ark.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The pallbearers were Dewey King, Michael Harvey, Bubba King,
Chad Parker, Tommy Mahoney, and Michael Parks.
Honorary pallbearers were Gregory Parks and Jay King.

Tommie June Rials Lachney
Funeral services for Tommie June Rials Lachney, 78, of Gilbert, were held at Holly Grove Baptist Church on Thursday, April 22, 2010, with Rev. Mickey Gallup and Rev. David Clary officiating. Burial followed at Holly Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Lachney was born Sept. 11, 1931 in Brookhaven, Miss., and passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. She was a resident of Gilbert, a homemaker, and a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, U.P. Lachney, father, Thomas Jefferson Rials, mother, Maudie (Martin) Rials; sister, Carrie Hawkins; and seven brothers: Carl, Hezzie, J.Q., Ferrell, William "Bee", Luke, Therman Rials.
Survivors include three daughters: Frances Berry, Sue Freeman and husband Ronnie, all of Ferriday; Tammie Hudson and husband Wayne of Gilbert; three sons: Johnny Henry and wife Ana of Wisner; Dave Henry Jr. and wife Brenda of Natchez, Miss.; Carl Henry and wife Carol of Blytheville, Ark.; two sisters: Velma Calhoun of Vidalia, Annie White of Ferriday; two sisters-in-law: Willie K. Rials and Jean Rials Hammonds both of Wisner; gather of her vhildren, Dave Henry of Gilbert; grandchildren: Theresa Berry, Stacey Henry, Lance Henry, Jessica Henry Thompson, Reagin Henry, Matt Henry, Thomas Hudson, Jonathan Hudson; two step grandchildren: Wendy Chisum and Tammie Plumlee; two great grandchildren: Gavin Henry and Austin Henry; also nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Tommy Rials, Mike Rials, Rodney Dale Rials, Herman Rials, Jeff Rials, Jay Calhoun, Randy Rials, and Elmo Thompson.

Huey P. Stephens
Mr. Huey P. Stephens, 82, a farmer and retired school bus driver of Wisner, died Monday, April 26, 2010.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Wisner. Visitation will be Thursday, April 29, 2010, at the church from 5-8 p.m. Burial will follow at South Central Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
