Sample receives fellowship, completes studies at LSU
The Research Partnership to Secure Energy for America (RPSEA) awarded Courtney Sample a fellowship to complete her studies in petroleum engineering at Louisiana State University for the 2007-08 school year.
The RPSEA created the scholarship program to establish long-term industry / education partnerships. The most promising students with studies relevant to the oil and gas industry are awarded fellowships to help with their education and / or research activities for a three-year term.
Sample graduated from LSU in December of 2009 where she earned her bachelor of science degree in petroleum engineering. As an active member on campus, Sample held offices in many clubs and societies such as the Society of Petroleum Engineering, Pi Epsilon Tau Honor Society, Society of Women Engineers and Delta Gamma Sorority.
During her academic career, Sample interned with Anadarko and Chevron. She is currently employed with Chevron in Covington.
Courtney is the daughter of Ken and Walty Britt Sample. She is the granddaughter of Mary McMahon Britt of Winnsboro and the late Segrest Britt. She is the niece of Susan and Ty Britt. |
