Jindal sets flags at half-mast for missing crew members

Gov. Bobby Jindal has issued an executive order to fly flags at half-staff through sunset Monday over the State Capitol and all other state buildings in honor of victims of a Gulf of Mexico oil rig explosion.

Jindal issued an executive order Monday for the weeklong "expression of respect for those unaccounted for workers of the Deepwater Horizon."

The order applies to flags of the United States and state of Louisiana at all public buildings and institutions in the state.

Eleven workers from Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas are unaccounted for and presumed dead in an April 20 explosion on the oil rig 40 miles off the Louisiana coast.
In addition, a number of workers were hurt and several critically injured.
