Newton-Nugent wedding
Farah Newton and Kyle Nugent were united in holly matrimony February 28, 2010, at Taylor Baptist Church in Crowville with Rev. Richard Henderson officiating.
Parents of the couple are Jennifer and Craig Newton of Crowville and Martha and Glenn Nugent of Columbia. Grandparents of the bride are Hilda and Lester Newton of Crowville, the late Freida P. Wallace of Baskin and the late Earmon Wooten of Dallas, Texas. Grandparents of the groom are Leona Gardner of Columbia, Bob Gardner of Johnson City, Tenn., and the late Johnny and Corrine Nugent of Columbia.
Escorted down the aisle on the arm of her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless gown with matching jacket. Her fingertip veil of sheer illusion fell from a tiara of pearls and she carried a bouquet of lavender roses.
Brooke Newton, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Flo Collinson served as bridesmaid.
Glenn Nugent, father of the groom, served his son as best man. Roy Gardner and Patrick Chapman were ushers.
The bride is a graduate of Franklin Parish High School. She is currently employed by Kaye's Food in Columbia. The groom is a graduate of Caldwell Parish High School and Universal Technical Institute of Dallas. He is currently employed by Kepper Trucking in Monroe.
The couple is at home in Columbia. |
