Dragons lose to Panthers

Mangham lost a heartbreaker to Sterlington in Monroe Monday, falling 1-0 to the Panthers in a battle for the District 2-2A championship.

This was a very important game," Wilcher said. "Anytime you play for a district championship, it's big."

Mangham hosts Farmerville in its final district game on Thursday.

The Dragons visit Oak Gorve on Saturday and Cedar Creek on Monday.

Mangham fell to Claiborne Christian 4-1 Thursday.

"This is what happens when you don't show up to play and is another case of our inconsistency," Wilcher said. "Claiborne has a real good team and should win Class C hands down. They could compete in Class A. They have an outstanding pitcher and we just weren't able to do anything with him."
