Early voting for the May 1 mayoral election between Ken Hill and Jackie Johnson will begin Saturday, April 17, and will run through Saturday, April 24.

The election is a runoff between Hill, who received 36 percent or 587 votes, and Johnson, who received 29 percent or 491 votes, in a four-way primary race on March 27.

Polls will be open on these days from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Early voting will take place in the Registrar of Voters Office in the Franklin Parish Courthouse.
