The Louisiana Patriots (4-1) will be back in action on Saturday night at 7 p.m. when they visit the Houston Cardinals (2-3), This will be the second meeting of the season between the two teams. Houston opened the 2010 football season with a 13-6 victory over the Patriots on March 6, The Winnsboro squad has won four consecutive games since that day and have bolted to the top of the league standings as a result. The Patriots are the defending champions after claiming the crown in 2009 in both the division and league standings.

Last week in conjunction with the annual Catfish Festival, the Patriots whipped the 3rd Coast Hard Hittaz, 34-0.

The Hard Hittaz drove deep into Patriot territory in the first quarter but were stalled when they fumbled the ball away and it was recovered by LaJerrick Taylor. The Patriot defense would continue to make play after play to keep 3rd Coast out of the endzone. The Patriot offense also continue to improve and hope to make a much better showing against a Houston offense that has been inconsistent this season.

After defeating the Patriots, the Cardinals were downed by the Lake Charles Panthers, 28-14.

Houston then bounced back with a 34-0 dominating win over the Spring Heat in week three. The Patriots also beat Spring this year, 47-0.

Houston lost their second game when they took a week three loss to 3rd Coast, 7-3.
The Gulf Coast Outlaws squeaked by the Cardinals last week in an overtime thriller, 21-15. On the season, the Cardinals have scored over 14 points per game three times.
The Patriots have steadily improved on offense each week. The defense has been one of the best in the league in creating turnovers.

This game is the first of several rematches for the Patriots as they play Houston just over a month after meeting them in Winnsboro.
