The Winnsboro Police Department is looking for information to help them solve a string of burglaries of vehicles and residences that officers believe are related.

Police said they have no leads on the crimes, which took place on March 5, March 19 and March 30.

On March 5, a Nichols Drive home and Lanier Drive carport were burglarized, according to police reports.

Items taken from the home include a purse with credit cards and a checking account. Power tools and electronic equipment including a Global Positioning System were taken from the carport.

On March 19, another Lanier Drive carport was broken into and fishing gear stolen. Two vehicles were burglarized on March 30, one on Lanier Drive and one on Ursula Drive.

In these incidents, items taken include a deputies badge, credit cars, a .22 revolver, a digital camera, a .33 hand gun, flash light and MP3 player.

Anyone with information should contact the Winnsboro Police Department at 435-4307. To report suspicious activity, call 9-11.
