Dragons on roller coaster

Mangham High continued its roller coaster ride, falling to Farmerville 5-4 before defeating Ravyille 8-2 before falling to St. Mary's 15-0 on Saturday.

"We can't come out and play two good games in a row," said Mangham coach Scott Wilcher. "We played good one game, then have a bad game and come back with a good game. We are very inconsistent."

The loss to Farmerville was the first in District 2-2A.

With only three teams in the district playing baseball, the teams play each other three times.
"That's becoming common in small districts," Wilcher said.

Mangham beat Sterlington 3-0 in its first district game and hosted the Panthers Monday.
"If we ever put our pitching and hitting together, then we'll have a good ball club," Wilcher said. "We just have to show up ready to play each game."
