La. Patriots back at home Saturday The Louisiana Patriots (2-1) will be back at home inside Patriot Stadium this Saturday night when they host the 3rd Coast Hard Hittaz.
The Hittaz will be coming in from Houston, Texas. The Patriots are coming together and making a strong case for a second consecutive league championship. The Patriots have set the tone each game with a steel curtain on defense. The Patriots have three interceptions on the season, two by Kenny Kitchens. Kitchens also has the lone defensive touchdown on the season for the Patriots.
Vernon Mills and the second leading rusher for the Patriots, Jonathan Collins, have benefited from the strong play of the offensive line. Added depth over the last two weeks has also aided the line development into one of the strongest units in the semi-pro ranks.
Collins, starting at quarterback, has been just as lethal with his arm as with his legs. Collins has two touchdown passes to lead in that statistical category during the 2010 season as well as ranking second on the team in total rushing yards.
The Hittaz will present a challenge with their physical rushing attack when they have the football.
Jarrett Donley and Travis Williams, a pair of former Houston area high school stars, lead the Hittaz in rushing this season. Joe Johnson also has had some key carries for the Hittaz team this season. The 3rd Coast Hard Hittaz's defense has serious depth at the linebacker position lead by Johnny Coston and Matt Burns. |
