The families of Katrina Deanna Reeves and James 'Coty' Daves announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Katrina is the daughter of Dianne Shores Reeves and the late Dennis Keith Reeves Sr. of Newellton. Coty is the son of Connie and Johnny Daves of Newellton.

The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of the late Warren and Maudine Shores of Newellton, the late Ernest Reeves and wife, Norma Reeves of Ward III, Mildred Easterling Cawley and husband Woody of Chase, and grandpa Johhny Wilson and Joann of Newellton.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Johnnie Faye and Laymond Straight of Baton Rouge, James Arthur "Hopper" Bamburg of Newellton and the late Ervin and Toni Daves.

Katrina is a senior at Newellton Christian Academy and is currently employed at Hopper's Nursery.

Coty is employed at Tensas Machine Shop and part-time at Daves Mowing Service and Alligator Farm.

The wedding is set for six o'clock in the evening on June 12, 2010 at Bethany Baptist Church in Newellton.

Friends and family of the couple are invited to attend through this medium.
