Parent Expo set for February 18
The Seventh Annual Title I Parent Expo for parents of students in grades PK-12 will be held Thursday, February 18, 2010. There will be two sessions of the Parent Expo to accomodate needs of parents. The first session will begin at 11:30 a.m. and extend until 1:00 p.m. The second session will begin at 3:30 p.m. and extend until 5:30 p.m. This informative parent meeting will be held at the Franklin Parish School Board Media Center.
The theme for the event is "Going for the Gold". Educational displays will be provided by Baskin, Crowville, Fort Necessity, Gilbert, Winnsboro Elementary, and Franklin Parish High School. Parents will be provided information on the following topics: Overview of the Title I Program, LEAP and iLEAP Practice Guides for students in grades 3-8, Parent J Pams, EAGLES, LA Pass, Constructed Responses in reading and mathematics, Accountability, Health Facts, and Library Homework Assistance.
All parents are encouraged to attend. |
