Jennifer and Craig Newton of Winnsboro announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Farah Newton, to Kyle Nugent, son of Martha and Glenn Nugent of Columbia.

Maternal grandparents of the bride-elect are the late Earmon Wooten of Dallas, Texas and the late Freida P. Wallace of Winnsboro. Paternal grandparents are Hilda and Lester Newton of Winnsboro.

Farah is a graduate of Franklin Parish High School and is currently employed by Kaye's Food Market.

The prospective groom is the maternal grandson of Leona Gardner of Columbia and Robert Gardner of Johnson City, Tenn. He is the paternal grandson of the late Johnny and Corrine Nugent of Columbia.

Kyle is a graduate of Caldwell High School and Universal Technical Institute in Houston, Texas. He is currently employed as a driver for Kepper Trucking in Monroe.

The wedding will take place at four o'clock in the evening February 28, 2010, at Taylor Bayou Baptist Church in Crowville. Minister Richard Henderson will officiate the ceremony.
