Lady Cougars in district play
Franklin Academy's girls went 1-1 in district action last week, defeating Central 61-41 before falling to Riverdale, 61-17.
Lindy Carroll led the Lady Cougars with 20 points against Central, while Hannah Southerland added 15.
Franklin also fell to River Oaks, 38-33.
Franklin is 2-4 with district with games remaining Tuesday against Riverfield, Friday and Union and two games next week against Claiborne and Central.
"Riverfield beat us by a few points last time we played and we really need to win that one," said Franklin coach James Nicholson. "That game will determine a lot as far as where we will end up in district." |
