FA Lady Cougars top Union Lady Lions, 40-19
Franklin Academy dropped a pair of games to Tensas Academy Thursday in St. Joseph.
In the boys contest, Franklin led 7-3 after one period and 18-11 at halftime.
But the Chiefs outscored the Cougars 15-7 in the third quarter and 18-9 in the final period.
Caleb Kratzer led Franklin with 16 points, while Dusty Barefield added nine.
Franklin lost to Tensas in the girls contest.
Franklin's girls defeated Union Christian 40-19.
On Jan. 12, Franklin's JV boys defeated Riverdale Academy 49-40.
Kalin Howington scored 20 points, while Britt Grieme had 19.
On Thursday. Franklin's junior varsity defeated Tensas Academy 31-15.
Howington netted 16 points, while Ryan Sullivan added seven.
Franklin beat Union Christian in a JV game, 38-29.
Sullivan led the way with 12 points. Chris Hassell added eight.
Franklin visits Red River today (Tuesday) before hosting Central Friday.
