La. Patriots set fund-raiser for Saturday
Those who would like to party with the Louisiana Patriots and give them a little financial support for a trip to the Sunshine Bowl Extravaganza this season can do so this weekend.
Winnsboro's own semi-pro football team will have a fund-raiser this Saturday featuring The School House Boys rappers at the Franklin Parish High School gymnasium.
The Louisiana Patriots are scheduled to compete against 10 other teams in the semi-pro league this season, which begins March 5, 2010, and ends with a Superbowl finale June 26, 2010.
Five home games are slated to take place in Winnsboro and five games will be played on the road.
Proceeds from the fund-raiser will help the team with expenses to the Sunshine Bowl Extravaganza, week-long event in Homestead, Fla., that highlights players from around the world.
The fund-raiser starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are $5. |
