Luckett-Conyers engagement
Lisa Henderson of Winnsboro announces the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter, Ashley Luckett, to Scott Conyers, son of Janette and Terry Conyers of Gilmer, Texas. Ashley is the daughter of the late Tommy Luckett of Winnsboro.
The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of Buddy Smith and the late Joy Smith of Winnsboro. Paternal grandparents are Helen Luckett and the late Vernon "Bud" Luckett of Winnsboro.
She is a graduate of Franklin Academy and is currently attending Northwestern State Unviersity pursuing double bachelor's degrees in accounting and business administration. As an active member on campus, Ashley is a member of the Baptist Collegiate Ministry and the Blue Key International Honor Society.
The prospective groom is the maternal grandson of the late Nelda and Bill Strobridge of Gilmer, Texas. Paternal grandparents are Dorothy Conyers and the late Glen "Shorty" conyers of Marion, Kan.
He is an honor graduate of Gilmer High School and Northwestern State University where he earned his bachelor's degree in history with a minor in music performance. He is a member of the Baptist Collegiate Minsitry and the Spirit of Northwestern marching band. Scott is currently attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, to obtain a master's degree in theology.
The wedding is set for three o'clock in the afternoon, Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the Samuel Guy House in Natchitoches. The Rev. Bill Collins will officiate the ceremony. |
