Lindsay Diane Wittlief and John Michael Hunter exchanged marriage vows at 6 p.m., September 26, 2009, at North Monroe Baptist Church in Monroe. Officiating the ceremony was Warren Eckhardt.

Linndsay is the daughter of C.J. and Jerri Wittlief of Monroe. She is the granddaughter of the late Lucille and Claude Wittlief Sr. of West Monroe and Lawrence Bourg Sr. of West Monroe.
John Michael is the son of Kathryn and John Hunter of Monroe and Sue and Rodney Elliott of Crowville. He is the grandson of the late Thomas and Jessie Hunter of Delhi, Opal Biggs and the late Edgar Biggs of Winnsboro, the late Beatrice Prestridge of Crowville and Opal Hodge of Crowville.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless diamond-white silk taffeta couture gown from Allure Bridals private collection. The fitted empire-style gown featured a Swarovski crystal and pearl brooch and was detailed with asymmetrical pleats, which extended from the front of the gown to the back. Silk buttons and Swarovski crystals cascaded down the cathedral train. The bride's fingertip veil of layered silk illusion was edged with crystals. Lindsay carried a European hand-tied bouquet with cream-colored vendela and jade roses accented with white and green mini hydrangeas. Her grandfather's rosary beads were attached to her bouquet.
Katherine Kalil and Sarah Chappell served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Joni McDonald, Jodi Phillips, Sara Elliott and Hillary Parker. Flower girls were Mandy Parker and Skylar Biggs. Program and book attendants were Kassie Swain and Courtney Parker. Ruth Mixon served as wedding coordinator and florist.

Attending the groom as best man was his father, John Hunter. Groomsmen were Matt Green, Jared Walker, Johnny Phillips, John Odom and Brandon Arrant. Ushers were Keith Hunnicut and Matt Bridges. Tristan Cuenca served as ring bearer.
Music for the ceremony was provided by pianist Leigh Jonson, guitarist Carey Amos and vocalist Ellen Osborn.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Bayou Desiard Country Club in Monroe. Guests were entertained by the band Soulhaven.

The couple will make their home in Monroe following a honeymoon at the Bahamas-Sandals resort.
