Collins-Hollis wedding
Leonora L. Collins and Isaac Hollis Jr. were united in holy matrimony on the evening of October 24, 2009 in Gilbert. Justice of the Peace R.V. Arnold performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gloria and Johnny Collins of Gilbert. The groom is the son of Isaac Hollis Sr. and Cleo Hollis of Gilbert.
Escorted down the aisle by her nephew, Mark Coleman Jr., the bride chose a red satin gown featuring a halter neckline that crossed in the back. The bodice of the gown was embellished with silver sequins and bugle beads. The bride carried a bouquet of red and white roses accented with baby's breath and white tulle.
The home was decorated with fresh greenery, red and white tulle and red rose buds for the outdoor ceremony. The couple exchanged vows beneath an arch wrapped with red and white tulle and rose buds. Guests chairs were adorned with red tulle aisle markers. The bride was escorted down the aisle to "Ribbon in the Sky" by Stevie Wonder.
Attending the bride as her maid of honor was Bernice McDonald, sister of the bride from Dallas, Texas. She wore a satin red dress featuring a lace over-lay with and carried a bouquet like that of the bride.
Keidrick Whitley of Gilbert served the groom as his best man.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held for the couple at the Marshal Lee Club in Gilbert.
Red and black table linens covered the bride's table. The wedding cake was a standing three-level confection of white icing and strawberries. A bride and groom figurine topped the tallest layer of the arrangement.
Hostesses assiting with the reception were Shenitra Williams and Marquita Coleman, both of Dallas.
After their honeymoon trip, the couple will be at home in Gilbert. |
