The Winnsboro-Franklin Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Louisiana Delta Initiative (LDI) to promote the Bricks to Clicks for Local Businesses Program. The LDI is a 12 parish regional economic and community development network of organizations working together to promote community development in northeast Louisiana. For more information about the LDI, visit http://www.lsuagcenter.com/drdc.

The 'Bricks to Clicks' program focuses on helping participating business owners gain access to the Internet, computer technology, and the training necessary to take their businesses global. "This project helps businesses who have little experience with computer technology or the Internet learn inexpensive ways to bring new customers to their businesses. Gaining access to such a wide customer base can increase sales and revenue for the savvy business owner with very little overhead. The goal of the Bricks to Clicks program is to demonstrate how small businesses can increase profits using the Internet", said Dr. James Barnes, Assistant Professor & Director of the LSU AgCenter's Delta Rural Development Center and coordinator of the LDI.

Dr. Barnes continued, "On Oct 26 at noon, we will have an information meeting where you will have time to ask questions about this program. Prior to this meeting, we are asking you to complete this on-line survey which will help organizers of the Bricks to Clicks Program understand your level of interest. Also, if you have an employee in your business that you feel would benefit from this information meeting, please feel free to include him or her."
Please follow this link to complete the survey: http://www.winnsborochamber.com/survey

Completing the on-line survey will serve as your registration to the event; however, we ask that you also please call the Chamber office at 435-4488 by Friday, October 23, to have your name added to the list. Seating is limited and will be filled on a first-come-first-served bases as reservations are received.
