Thelma Griffith Sanders
Thelma Griffith Sanders, 84, a retired nursing facility administrator died Tuesday morning, Oct. 13, 2009 at Ringgold Nurse Care Center in Ringgold, La.
Arrangements are incomplete but will be under the direction of Rocket Funeral Home in Ringgold, La.

Kendal Koltyn Scott Stroud
Funeral services for Kendal Koltyn Scott Stroud were held Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009 at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church with Revs. Roy Walton, Joel Ford, David Carlton and Ronnie House officiating. Burial followed at Heard Cemetery.
Kendal was born Oct. 9, 2009, and passed away a few hours later.
Survivors include his parents: Victoria Byrnes Stroud and Cory Stroud, of Jonesville; brother, Jayden Stroud; grandparents: Kim and Greg Byrnes, Jonesville; Mike and Ann Stroud, Sicily Island; great-grandparents Gayle and Odis Byrnes Sr., Buddy and Shirley Walton, Alvin and Maggie Wollerson, Wayne and Avis Stroud.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Ruby Walton.

Edna Faye Loflin
Funeral services for Edna Faye Loflin, 79, of Winnsboro, were held at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 9, 2009 with Bro. Lukins officiating. Burial followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Loflin was born Nov. 1, 1929 in Winnsboro, and passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. She was a resident of Winnsboro, a telephone company employee, and a member of the Liddieville Free Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Fred Williams, Sr.; mother, Annie (Dean) Williams; husband, Jacob E. Loflin; sister, Vaudie Simons; brother, W. F. Williams; nephew, Kenny Simmons.
Survivors include nieces: Kathy MacNichol of Baton Rouge, Amy Allemond and husband Jason of Zachary, with Mrs. Loflin's three special grandchildren: Emma, Logan, and Amelia Allemond and Jacquelyn Simmons of Liddieville; nephew, Chance Simmons of Liddieville; special cousin, Dannie Sue Barton and husband Don; special friends: Vonnette Buchans, Mary Faulk, Katie Loflin, Jean King, Kent and Paula Bennett, Pam Poland, Lisa Parks; lifetime companion: Daisy, Mrs. Loflin's dog;
and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers were J. W. Dean, George Faulk Jr., Robby Dean, Adam Faulk, Kevin Cobb and Buddy Parks.
Honorary pallbearers was Kent Bennett.
