Dragons burn LaSalle, 38-27

Mangham High jumped on LaSalle in the first half and cruised the rest of the way to a 38-27 win over the Tigers in Olla.

Mangham's first string saw one series of action in the second half as the Dragons led 32-6 at halftime.

"Their quarterback was out and they had a few people out sick," said Mangham coach Tommy Tharp. "Everybody on the team got to play, which helps a lot in the lockerroom."

Mangham will have a tougher test this week as the Dragons travel to Block.

"They are good, fast and big," Tharp said. "Of course, everybody is bigger than we are. I think there are some things we can do to them, and there are some things they can do to us. It's going to come down to turnovers. So far we have taken care of the football pretty good."
