Evolene Chapman
Funeral services for Evolene Chapman, 86, of Winnsboro were held at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Winnsboro on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, with Rev. Cory Bruce, Rev. Don Blackmon, and Tony Smith officiating.
Burial followed at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Chapman was born Sept. 11, 1923 in Gilbert, and passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 at Charlyn Nursing Home in Winnsboro. She was a resident of Winnsboro, a Nurses Aide, and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Chapman; father, William Samuel Womack, mother, Vara Susie (Antley) Womack; and brother, Jack Curtis Womack.
Survivors include three sons: Roger Chapman and wife Belinda, Marvin Chapman and wife, Kathy, all of Winnsboro; Thomas Chapman and wife, Jane, Sicily Island; two daughters: Nelda Morse, Susie Martin and husband Elvon, all of Winnsboro; two sisters: Lynetta Billiot, Crowville; Bobbie Womack, Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother, Marvin Womack and wife Evelyn, Crowville; sister-in-law, Billie Womack of Iowa Park, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers were Michael Varnado, James Varnado, Allen Martin, Chris Martin, Derrick Chapman and Dakota Tarver.
Honorary pallbearers were Deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Janice Dearing English
Funeral services for Janice Dearing English, 67, of Conroe, Texas were held Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at Cashner Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Jay McCurry officiating. Burial followed at Midway Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. English was born Nov. 29, 1941 in Gilbert, Louisiana to Ardice and Lucille Dearing and entered into rest unexpectedly Sunday, September 6, 2009 in Conroe, Texas.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories a wonderful husband, Walter English; sons, James Paul English and Randall Wayne English and his wife Janice LuAnn English; sisters, Antoinette Fuller, Barbara Emfinger and husband Jack and Ann Ezell; sisters-in-law, Verna Burnett and Willie McGown, Doris Johnson and husband Leonard; brothers-in-law, Jim English and wife Ernestine and Sydney English and wife Mozelle; grandchildren, Trish English and Joseph English; great-grandson, Austin Kyle English; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Dearing, Jim English, Joseph English, Jack Emfinger, Sidney English and Wayne Lott.

Mildred Carlene French
Funeral services for Mildred Carlene French, 82, of West Monroe, were held at Crockett Point Baptist in Crowville on Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, with Rev. Joe Senn and Rev. Ron Charrier officiating. Burial followed at Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Carlene French was born Feb. 26, 1927 in Mississippi and passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. She was a resident of West Monroe, formerly of Crowville, a homemaker, and a member of the baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents - Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Carson Sr.; two brothers: Charles Ray Carson and Willie D. Carson; two sisters: Billie Jo Johnson and Sandra Collins.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Anderson and husband Dewayne of West Monroe; son, Jerry Wayne French of West Monroe; brother, S. C. Carson Jr. and wife Alice of Crowvillel two sisters: Frances Weeks and husband Billy of Crowville; Callie Weeks and husband Charles of Tallulah; numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
Pallbearers were Daryl Carson, Greg Carson, Mike Collins, Randy Collins, Jeff Collins, Kenneth Carson, Randy Carson, John Anderson.

Annie Lee Kimble
Funeral services for Annie "Hido" Lee Kimble, 90, of Gilbert, were held at Kendrick's Ferry Pentecostal Church on Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, with Rev. Bruce Lofton officiating. Burial followed at Oakley Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Kimble was born Nov. 8, 1918 in Duck Hill, Miss., and passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. She was a resident of Gilbert, a homemaker, farmer, and hunter and a member of the Kendricks Ferry Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband-Nolan Kimble; father, Randy Collins; mother, Jessie (Dobyns) Collins; three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her special son, Lex Giddens and wife Lou of Monroe; grandchildren: Nolan Giddens and wife Jutina, Daryl Giddens and wife Amy; four great-grandchildren: Ana, Thomas, N.J., and Matthew Giddens, all of Monroe.
Pallbearers were Nolan Giddens, Daryl Giddens, Thomas Giddens, N. J. Giddens, Matthew Giddens, and Chris Fleming.

Pam Winborne King
Funeral services for Pam Winborne King, 53, of Winnsboro, a homemaker were held Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at River of Life Church in Winnsboro with Rev. David Phillips officiating. Burial followed in Lone Cherry Cemetery near Mangham under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. King was born to the union of her parents Rogers and Ethel Winborne on Dec. 19, 1955 in Monroe, and passed from this life on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009. She was a member of River of Life Church in Winnsboro. She is preceded in death by her father; her husband: Wayne King; two brothers: Danny and Ronnie Winborne.
She is survived by two sons: Wayne King and wife Paula, and Jeremiah King and wife Kasey; her mother: Ethel Winborne, and one brother: Joe Winborne all of Winnsboro; ten grandchildren: Kaylee, Lilly, Kason, Logan, Joseph, Kodie, Devin, Beth, Sara and Cheyenne; seven great grandchildren: Cheyenne, Mason, Layne, Aiden, Cameron, Jaylen and Rylee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were: Kevin Britt, Brad Clark, Matt Clark, Devin Holloway, Trampest Martin, Shane Winborne, Jeremy Winborneand Jeff Winborne.

Jack Muckelrath
Funeral services for Jack Muckelrath, 79, of Winnsboro, were held at New Zion Baptist Church on Saturday, September 12, 2009, with Rev. Tommy Basco officiating. Burial followed at New Zion Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Muckelrath was born Feb. 8, 1930 in Winnsboro, and passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was a resident of Winnsboro, a farmer, and a member of the New Zion Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thelmon Muckelrath; grandson, Jason Muckelrath; maternal grandparents, F. B. and Ida Hitt.
Survivors include his wife, Lessie (Wallace) Muckelrath of Winnsboro; mother, Beatrice (Hitt) Albritton; son, Jackie Muckelrath and wife Katherine of Winnsboro; special grandson, Joshua Muckelrath of Winnsboro; brother, Carl Albritton and wife Sarah of Raymond, Miss.;
three sisters: Vina Sue Fain of Winnsboro; Lucy Jean Lawerence of Monroe; Elaine Huckabee of Coushatta, La.; two great grandchildren: Camron Muckelrath and Abby Muckelrath, both of Liddieville.
Pallbearers were Walter Purvis, Glen Smith, J. C. Winters, Terry Sharp, Maxwell Wallace, and Kim Wilson.

Clara Ann Noble
Clara Ann Noble died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009 at her residence in Winnsboro. She was born March 17, 1957 in Winnsboro.
Ms. Noble was preceded in death by her parents Woody and Jean Magee Noble.
She is survived by two brothers: Michael Ray Noble of Rayville and Paul Wesley Noble and wife Myra Jackson Noble of Arlington, Texas; and one sister, Dixie Renee Noble of Winnsboro; three nephews: Joey Richard Noble, Christopher Michael Guillot, and Jamey Ryan Noble; and a host of other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

John R. Shelly
A memorial service for John R. Shelly, 71, of Winnsboro, were held Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Apostolic Tabernacle near Liddieville with Rev. Michael Couch officiating, under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Shelly was born to the union of his parents, Benjamin and Golden Yates Shelley on Jan. 3, 1938 in Niwot, CO and passed from this life September 10, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was a member of Apostolic Tabernacle and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by three nieces and Bo Winstead of Winnsboro. He also leaves behind a host of friends and church family.

Nettie Stewart Vickers
Funeral services for Nettie Stewart Vickers, 84, of Winnsboro will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009 at Lone Pine Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Harris Cemetery, under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Visitation will be at Lone Pine Baptist Church today (Wednesday) from 5 to 10 p.m.
Mrs. Vickers, a garment factory supervisor, passed away on Monday, Sept. 14, 2009.
