Moore-Avants engagement
 Mr. and Mrs. Louis Moore of Rayville announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of the daughter, Martha Gertrude Moore to John Edward Avants, son of the late Johnny Avants of Rayville and Wanda Bradley of Winnsboro.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Ellis and Avel Hagood of Rayville and the late Felix and Virginia Moore of Rayville.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Vernon Green of Crowville, Jean Green of Mangham and the late Vardaman and Josie Avants of Rayville.
Martha is currently employed by Cotton, Bolton, Hoychick and Doughty Law Firm in Rayville. Edward is currently employed by Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville.
The couple will marry at four o'clock in the afternoon on October 10, 2009 at Eastside Baptist Church in Rayville.
