21st CCLC afterschool program to resume Sept. 15 The Franklin Parish 21st Century Community Learning Centers will start back for students on Tuesday, September 15 at the following sites: Baskin, Crowville, Fort Necessity, Gilbert, and Winnsboro Elementary.
The program will operate 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday, offering 4 extra hours of academic instruction and 4 hours of recreational/cultural academics.
We encourage parents to enroll their children. Franklin Parish children are being afforded this cost free extended learning opportunity that many students in Northeast Louisiana region are not. This provides our working parents a safe, enriching environment for their children. The 21stCCLC staff takes very seriously its responsibility to serve your children. We encourage parents to take advantage of this enriching opportunity. Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.
Site coordinators have been given the option to include first grade as a pilot/ test trial. The two sites that are piloting the first grade are Fort Necessity and Winnsboro Elementary. All other sites will serve grades 2-8.
