Bryan Morgan wins Twin Oaks championship
Winnsboro resident Bryan Morgan is celebrating this week, after winning the 43rd Annual Club Championship at Twin Oaks Country Club Aug. 16.
Morgan tapped in a par putt on the 18th green late Sunday to win his first club championship championship.
When asked how it felt to be a first-time champion, Morgan smiled.
"It feels good," he said.
Twin Oaks golf director George Price called the championship series at the club a success.
"I was really surprised at how competitive all the scores were," Price said. "It showed that our club was having a great golf season."
Price said he spent much of the fair-weathered spring playing with club members, which led him to believe "we were all in for a surprise."
Morgan was not the only champion crowned over the Aug. 15-16 weekend.
Donnie Carter and Glen Jones shared the senior division trophy while Jim McClellan took home the super senior championship.
