Johnnie and Curtis King of Gilbert announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda King, to Lucas Hill, son of Catherine Hill and Kennenth Hill of Mangham.

Amanda is the maternal granddaughter of bonnie Hogan and the late John Hogan of Gilbert. She is the paternal granddaughter of Gladys King and the late Dewey "Nubbin" King of Gilbert.

She is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe where she earned a specialist degree in school psychology. She is currently employed as a school psychologist.

Lucas is the maternal grandson of Lavern and A.B. "Pug" Parham of Mangham. Paternal grandparents are Graci Hill and G.C. Hill Jr. of Mangham.

He is a graduate Louisiana State University where he earned his bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering.

The wedding is set for six o'clock in the evening on August 15, 2009 at Bayou Macon Baptist Church. Minister Jerry Goodman will perform the ceremony.

Family and friends of the couple are invited to attend through this medium.
