Malmay-Cognolatti win fundraiser A golf fundraiser for St. Jude produced a three-way championship battle with a single stroke separating the winners and losers.
Alex Malmay, a singee with ULM and Dale Cagnollati combined in the four ball to shoot 18 under over the par 72 Twin Oaks Country Club course during the "Crawdaddy for St. Jude"s" two-day tournament which raised $3,000 for the charity.
The Malmay-Cagnollatti combination bettered George Price III and Adam Romero by one shot. Bill Walker and Larry Romero took third, only one shot back of the second placed team.
A total of 25 teams made up the four-flight tournament which included an evening crawfish boil.
A number of local sponsors contributed to the event, helping to raise the charity funds. Price said the club has plans to repeat the tournament next year.
Winners of first flight were Cotton Renner and Doug White with Mitch Reynolds and robin Renner taking second. Tommy Gilbert and Paul Work finished third.
Second flight went to the combo of Tim Ford and Dan Magee. Brian Wollerson and Jason Emfinger finished second and Ed Pardue and Taylor Middleton finished third. |
