Mr. and Mrs. Collin WImberly of Baton Rouge, formerly of Swartz, and Mr. and Mrs. John Handy of Collinston, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Juliana Louise to John Patrick Handy II.

Maternal grandparents of the bride-elect are Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Langston of Pollock. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wimberly of Hall Summit.

Juliana is a 2008 graduate of the Northeast Louisiana Christian Homeschool Association and is presently pursuing a degree in voice performance from Louisiana College in Pineville and is currently a voice and piano teacher.

Paternal grandparents of the prospective groom are Mr. and Mrs. B.B. Handy Jr. of Collinston. He is the paternal grandson of the late Mr and Mrs. Sherman Allen Sr. of Swampers.

J.P. is a 2007 graduate of the Northeast Louisiana Christian Homeschool Association and is currently pursing a degree in biblical studies from Louisiana College. He is employed by LifeWay Christian Store and also serves as the youth pastor at Family of Grace Church in Alexandria.

The wedding will take place at two o'clock in the afternoon on June 27 at Parkview Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. The bride's father will officiate the ceremony.

A reception for the couple will follow the ceremony in the gymnasium of the church.
