Two Winnsboro men were arrested last week in connection with a burglary at Cingular Wireless on Front Street.

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 20, Elijah Jenkins, 20, and Marvin Williams 19, allegedly threw a brick through the front store window and stole some $2200 worth of cellular phones.

According to Chief Lester Thomas, officers from the Winnsboro Police Department responded to an alarm at the business. Operating on a tip, the two suspects were arrested eight hours after the alleged incident occurred.

Both men were charged with burglary and criminal damage to property and booked into the Franklin Parish Detention Center. Neither suspect had posted bond as of Friday afternoon.
