Young-Handy engagement
 Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Young of Wisner announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jessica Lee, to Joseph Sterling Handy, son of Mrs. Karol Handy of Monroe and Mr. and Mrs. Biff Handy of Collinston.
Maternal grandparents of the bride-elect are Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Martin of Baton Rouge. Her paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ray Young of Wisner.
She is a graduate of Franklin Parish High School and is presently a nursing student at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is employed by ULM's Department of University Advancement.
Maternal grandparents of the prospective groom are Mr. and Mrs. James Freeland of Bastrop. His paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bev Handy of Collinston.
He is a graduate of Sterlington High School and is a senior at the University of Louisiana at Monroe majoring in construction management. His future plans include attending seminary to pursue a master's degree. He is employed as the student minister at Crowville First Baptist Church.
The wedding will take place at 2 p.m. June 13 at First Baptist Church of Wisner with the Rev. Thomas Peoples officiating. A reception will follow in the family life center of the church. Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to attend. |
