Dixie Youth cermonies, games set for Saturday
Wet spring weather caused a rescheduling of the Winnsboro Dixie Youth Baseball season opening and fund raising effort to this Saturday at the J. W. McLemore baseball complex.
A hamburger plate lunch, part of the fund raising, will be available from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m.
Games for the 7-9 year-olds who make up the league will begin about noon and will continue most of the afternoon.
A home run derby is set for 4:30 p.m. with opening ceremonies scheduled for 6:15 p.m. and is set to include players of all teams on the field. |
