Farm Bureau hosts Youth Night

Franklin Parish Farm Bureau held its annual Youth Night on March 20 at the Princess Theatre, crowning a new queen and showcasing talented young people.

The queen for 2009 is Stephani Stephens, the 17-year-old daughter of Steve Stephens and the late Maebell Stephens. First runner-up is Courtney Chapman, daughter of Robin and Randy Chapman. Second runner-up is Janna Wilson, daughter of Michelle and Brian Wilson. Other contestants were, Kelsey Taylor, Meagan Evans and Katy Little.

Kyle Ann Kaufman, the 15-year-old daughter of Karen and Brian Kaufman, is the talent winner. Kelsey Taylor and Syndi Wolleson also competed in the talent category.

Hudson Smith, the 18-year-old son of Jan and Dr. Roger Smith, is the winner of the Talk Meet. In June, the winners will travel to New Orleans to represent Franklin Parish in competition at the Louisiana Farm Bureau Convention.
