Mac Watts and Cheryl Wycoff, both of Shreveport would like to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lindsay Erin Watts to William Barrett "Barry" Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Artie Carter of Crowville.

The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of Kenneth and Margaret Wycoff of Bossier City. She is the paternal granddaughter of the late Alice and John Arthur Watts of Shreveport.

The prospective groom is the maternal grandson of Bobby and Shirley Cox and the late Elizabeth Cox of Crowville. He is the paternal grandson of Ernestine Carter and the late George P. Carter of Winnsboro.

Lindsay is a 2003 graduate of Evangel Christian Academy of Shreveport. She received her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is currently employed as a NICU registered nurse at Willis Knighton South in Shreveport.

Barry is a 2001 graduate of Crowville High School. He received his bachelor of science in education from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston. He is currently teaching physical education and head basketball coach at Dubach High School.

The wedding is set for six o'clock in the evening on April 11, 2009 at the Creekwood Gardens in Simsboro. Rev. Ron Charrier will officiate the ceremony. A reception for the couple will follow at Creekwood Gardens.
