Greer-Lee wedding
On February 15, 2009, Brittney Greer and Oliver "C.J." Lee were united in matrimony during an afternoon ceremony at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Rayville. Minister Harold Spillers officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Renee and Larry Greer of Delhi. The groom is the son of Gail and Chad Lee, and Tracy and Chris Duke, all of Winnsboro.
The couple exchanged vows beneath an arch of white lace and pink ribbon. The arch was flanked with lighted trees adorned with pink bows. Pews were decorated with pink bows as the church chandeliers complemented the setting.
Organist Mrs. Spillers provided music for the ceremony. Selections included "Tough," released by Craig Morgan, and "Love Story" and "Fearless" released by Taylor Swift.
Given in marriage by her father, Brittney wore a strapless white satin gown adorned with seed pearls on the bodice and skirt edging. She carried a bouquet of assorted pink and white flowers.
Renee Greer attended her daughter as maid of honor. She wore a tea-length dress in teal and carried a nosegay of pink and white flowers.
Bridesmaids were Misty McMillan and Crystal Graham. Each attendant wore a tea-length dress like that of the maid of honor and carried a nosegay of pink and white flowers.
Chad Lee served his son as his best man. Groomsmen were Gary Duke of Shreveport and Matthew Hutto of Winnsboro. Ushers for the ceremony were Christopher Duke of Winnsboro and Michael Graham of Hebert. Candle lighters were Renee Greer and Tracy Duke.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church. The bride's table held a three-tiered white confection and fountain decorated with pink and white flowers. The groom's cake was a chocolate creation topped with fresh strawberries.
After the reception, the couple left for a honeymoon trip to Pensacola, Fla. |
