Posted 2/24/09 Roy Lee Addison Funeral services for Roy Lee Addison, 52, of Winnsboro were held Saturday at Cuba Baptist Church in Gilbert. Burial followed in the church cemetery, under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home, Winnsboro. Mr. Addison died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009 at Cornerstone Hospital in West Monroe. Survivors include brothers: Leon Fleming, Joseph Addison Jr. and Carneal Addison, all of Houston, Texas; Lenell Addison, Pontiac, Mich.; Phil G. Addison, Winnsboro; sisters: Bernastine Stacey, Pontiac, Mich.; Genese Kennie, Winnsboro. Pallbearers were Larry Martin, Micheal Smith, Kenny Thompson, Mathis Cook, DeMarcus McMahon, and Wiley Taylor.
Mary Barton Funeral services for Mary Barton, 84, of Gilbert, were held Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009 at Gilbert First Baptist Church under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home. Officiants were the Reverends Jerry Grant, Dale Goodman, Doyle Adams, Don Blackmon, and Virgil Harris. Interment followed at Oakley Cemetery. Mrs. Barton was born Sept. 29, 1924 at Hattiesburg, Miss., and died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was a 1943 graduate of Baskin High School. She was a homemaker and served the community as a beautician for 45 years, as well as a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Gilbert. Her life has been spent serving her family, church, and friends. She will truly be missed by all. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Thomas Barton of Gilbert; three sons: Don Barton and wife Dannie Sue of Gilbert; Danny Joe Barton and wife Wanda of Gilbert; and Tommy Barton and wife Candy of Jena; three sisters: Mae Barney and Audie Lewis, both of Baskin; and Tyreau Bruce of Sulphur, La.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were grandsons: Leslie Michael McCoy, Brad Barton, Jason Barton, Travis Barton, Tuson Barton, and Jarrett Barton. Pamela Davis Funeral services for Pamela Davis, 47, of Downsville will be at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home today (Wednesday) Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Richard Shreve officiating. Interment will follow at Chase Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro. Mrs. Davis a homemaker, formerly of Winnsboro, was born Feb. 19, 1961 in Winnsboro, and died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. She was a member of the Baptist denomination. She was preceded in death by her father, Jake Killingsworth; daughter, Chasity Davis; and brother, Glenn Murry. Survivors include her husband, Lon Davis Sr., Downsville; mother, Betty (Johnson) Killingsworth, Downsville; two sons: Lon Davis Jr. and financee Kaci Edwards of Farmerville; Daniel Davis, Ruston; four brothers: Thomas Dale Murry and wife Charlotte, Downsville; Jimmy Murry and wife Kay of Sicily Island; Billy Murry and wife JJ of Downsville; James Killingsworth, Choudrant; one grandchild, Dalilah Davis, Farmerville; and a host of nieces and nephews. Dorothy 'Dot' Horton Hudson Services for Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Horton Hudson, age 89, were held Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro, with the Rev. Johnny Hankins officiating. Interment followed in Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Hudson is preceded in death by husband, Fred L. Hudson; her parents, George, Sr. and Effie Wall Horton; brothers: Walter R. Horton and G.W. "Dub" Horton; and sister: Norma "Pat" Horton McHugh. She was a graduate of Northeast Jr. College and LA Tech. She was a retired secretary for LA Gas Services. She is survived by a brother, Robert A. Jason Nealy Funeral services for Jason Nealy, 34, of Winnsboro, were held at Turkey Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, with Rev. Kent Nugent, Rev. Raymond Beard, and Rev. Mr. Nealy was born Sept. 24, 1974 in Monroe, and passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. He was a resident of Jigger, an iron worker, and a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Denon and Elsie Guillot; paternal grandparents: J.P. and Edith Nealy. Survivors include his father, Joseph Phillip Nealy and mother, DeJuana Daphane (Guillot) Nealy, son, Dusty Nealy, all of Winnsboro; son, Austin Nealy, daughter, Macy Nealy, both of Mangham; brother, Chris Nealy of Winnsboro; and a host of family and friends. Mary Annette Robinson Funeral services for Mary Annette Robinson, 64, of Winnsboro, were held at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, with Rev. Floyd Hawthorne and Bro. Bill Yeats officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Mrs. Robinson was born Oct. 22, 1944 in Franklin Parish, and passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2009 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. She was a resident of Winnsboro and retired from Big Johns Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Williamson; mother, Sarah (Wallace) Williamson; seven sisters: Inez Arnold, Francis Cobb, Marie Williamson, Georgia Johnson, Jessie Mae Johns, Norma Dean Holmes, and Juanita Marlett. Patsy Sbisa Mrs. Patsy Sbisa, 66, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009. She was a loving mother and a friend to all who knew her. She will be cremated. Tina Stephens Wall Funeral services for Tina Stephens Wall, 52, of Wisner, were held at Apostolic Faith Chapel In Gilbert on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009 with Rev. Virgil Harris, Rev. Curtis Harris, Rev. Billy Martin, and Rev. Gary Howington officiating. Interment followed at South Central Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Mrs. Wall was born May 27, 1956 in Wisner, and passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. She was a resident of Wisner, a mail carrier for the US Postal Service, employee of USDA, and a member of the Apostolic Faith Chapel, Gilbert. Tina was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved to work with her hands, in the garden, doing woodwork, fishing, sewing and quilting, and a host of other things. She taught quilting for many years and was a long time member of the Franklin Piecemakers Quilting Club. Tina loved to sing and was dedicated to God, her church, and family. Survivors include her husband, Gary Wall of Wisner; father, Webster K. Stephens of Wisner; mother, Betty Ruth Stephens of Wisner; sons: Eric Wall and wife Kelly of Wisner; Glen Wall and wife Sandee of Wisner; grandson, Aaron Wall of Wisner; granddaughter, Danielle Wall of Wisner; sister, Sheila Williamson of Winnsboro; brother, Donald Stephens and wife Glenda of Winnsboro; beloved pet, Coco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
