Learn computer skills at the Franklin Parish Library!
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Franklin Parish Library will offer workshops for anyone who would like to improve or learn computer skills.

The basic computer class will be presented in four parts and the Microsoft Word class will be presented in two parts. The classes are designed for patrons with little or no experience with computers. Microsoft Word will focus on the screen layout, keyboard, highlighting, formatting text and saving your work.

"This is a great opportunity for adults and senior adults to learn basic computer skills," said Emily Arnold, library director, "and will help them connect to younger generations."

There is no pre-registration required, however it is recommended that participants attend all sessions of each class. Classes may be repeated if desired and individual practice is highly recommended. Computer and Microsoft Word classes will be held at 10 a.m. in the Learning Center on the following dates:

Basic Computers part one, Feb. 16
Basic Computers part two, Feb. 17
Basic Computers part three Feb. 18
Basic Computers part four Feb. 19

Microsoft Word, Feb. 26
Microsoft Word, Feb 27
