Governor Jindal special guest at Chamber Banquet The Winnsboro-Franklin Chamber of Commerce will hold their 60th Annual Installation Banquet on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009. Honored guest speaker for the evening will be Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal.
The event will be held at the United Pentecostal Church Family Life Center at 2510 Loop Road in Winnsboro. There will be a meet and greet session from 5:30-6:30 p.m., with dinner to follow at 6:30 p.m.
The banquet will include the introduction and recognition of the 2009 Winnsboro-Franklin Chamber officers and new Chamber board members.
"We are so excited to have Governor Jindal back in our community. He was here last year for our annual banquet having been in office only six weeks," said Lindy Price, project coordinator. "He made the promise that he wouldn't forget Northeast Louisiana and he's kept that promise by being a hands-on governor and available to the folks who put him in office. We just couldn't be more pleased to have him here again." Tickets sales are limited and can be purchased at $35 each for members and $40 for non-members at the Chamber office. A limited number of corporate sponsorships are also available. Contact the Chamber office for additional information or to purchase tickets.
"Tickets are limited in number and none will be sold at the door," continued Price. "Since we're anticipating a quick sell-out this year, we're encouraging those who wish to purchase tickets to contact the Chamber office as soon as possible."
There will also be a waiting list for cancellations and names will be taken on a first-come first-serve basis.
