Rev. Amos James Griffin
Funeral services for Reverend Amos James Griffin, 82, of Winnsboro, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the True Light Baptist Church of Winnsboro with the Rev. Herman E. Harris officiating.
Burial will be in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction of Richardson and Sims Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Rev. Griffin died on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, after a brief illness.
Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife, Nettie H. Griffin; one son, Amos James Griffin Jr.; one daughter, Delasber D. Griffin; one brother, Bertrand Griffin; mother-in-law, Mary L. Brown.
Pallbearers will be Johnny B. Patterson Jr., James D. Patterson, Roderick Patterson, Allan Corbin, D'Mario Payne, Bertrand Griffin II, Michael Griffin, Jamar Burns, and Johnny Green.

Charles I. Bohon
Memorial service for Charles I. Bohon, 65, of Winnsboro were held Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro with Rev. Bobby Arnold officiating.
Mr. Bohon was born to Irvin Buell and Goldie Pearl Yates Bohon on June 15, 1943 in Shelbyville, Ky., and passed from this life Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Bohon, a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, was owner of Bohon Construction in Winnsboro. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a member and avid golfer at Twin Oaks Country Club. He also enjoyed scuba diving and spending time with his family and friends on the white sand beaches of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Patty Merle and Sue Gunn.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Ann Bohon of Winnsboro; four children Richard Bohon of Columbus, Miss., Heather Bohon of Orange Beach, Ala., Christopher Bohon of Madison, Miss., and Jessica Bohon Novak of Pensacola, Fla.; one sister Rosie Gowin of Shelbyville, Ky; and his grandchildren Savannah and Tiffany Bohon of Columbus, Miss., Logan and Cason Bohon of Madison, Miss., and Aryn Grace of Pensacola Fla.

Jewell Juanita Wright
Services for Jewell Juanita Wright, 78, of Winnsboro, will be at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday), December 31, 2008, at the First United Pentecostal Church of Winnsboro, with Rev. Floyd Hawthorne, and Rev. Mark Powell officiating. Interment will follow in the Crowville Masonic Cemetery near Crowville, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro, Louisiana.
Mrs. Wright passed away December 29, 2008. She was a faithful member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Winnsboro, Louisiana. She was a homemaker and a life-long resident of Franklin Parish, where she raised her three sons.
Surviors include her husband: Charles E. Wright; sons: Donnie Wright and wife Caroline; Michael Wright and wife Debbie; Dalton Wright and wife Beverly; grandchildren: Landon Wright, Jonathan Wright, Dustin Wright, Andrea Wright Parks, and Corey Wright.
Pallbearers will be Landon Wright, Jonathan Wright, Corey Wright, Dustin Wright, Adam Wright, Chad Parks, Jared Cassiday, Todd Cassiday, Kevin Ward, and Ryan Martin.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Bingham, Larry Stephens, J.W. Cassiday, Frank Swazey, John Comeaux, James Griffin Wright, Bobby Wroten, Joe Cassiday, Jimmy Franklin, Wade Wright, and Don Southern.

Martha Richards
Funeral services for Martha Richards, 82, of Gilbert were held Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Gilbert. Burial followed at Hope Estate Cemetery in Wisner, under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mrs. Richards died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Richards, Baton Rouge; daughters: Doris Graves, Baytown, Texas; Irma J. Johnson, Denver, Colo.; Beatrice Lewis-Brooks, Saginaw, Mich.; sisters: Lucille Harrington-Horton, Wisner; Ruby J. Harrington, Cleveland, Ohio; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Archie Blanson, Lester Carridine, Jesse Coleman, Charley Richards Jr., Johnny Richards, Patrick Richards, Marshall Whitlock, and Promise Whitlock.

James Marvin Roberts
A graveside service for James Marvin Roberts, 74, of Vidalia, will be held at New Pine Hill Cemetery today (Wednesday), Dec. 31, 2008 at 2 p.m. Services are under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mr. Roberts was born Aug. 14, 1934 in Sicily Island and passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. He was a resident of Winnsboro, formerly of Vidalia, an oil field communicator, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Angie (Campbell) Roberts; father, Ernest Marvin Roberts; and brother Joe Roberts.
Survivors include his mother, Mae (Golmon) Roberts of Winnsboro; daughter, Gwin Young, Natchez, Miss.; three brothers: Larry Roberts, Bossier City; Ronnie Roberts, Chesapeake, Va.; Tommy Gene Roberts, Wisner; and two grandchildren.
