Franklin Parish High School swept a pair of games from Mangham, December 9, taking the boys game 72-57 and the girls contest 77-68.

In the boys matchup, the Patriots steadily improved through each quarter as they earned their eighth win of the season.

Led by Brandon Sims, a junior forward, with 23 points and aided by 15 points from senior J. C. Winn, the Patriots earned a 30-24 half time lead before breaking loose for 42 points in the second half.

The Lady Patriots had a much tighter race, leading by only two points at half. It took a 27 point third quarter to put the game out of reach.
Mangham made a strong fourth period comeback.

Franklin Parish had four girls in double figures, Jasmine Jones, 23; Kale Scott, 17; Daffnie Dykes, 14 and Nikki Harris, 11.

Both Franklin teams are scheduled to return to Mangham for a tournament beginning today.
