Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Wallace of Winnsboro announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Alaina Lynn Wallace, to Edward Clay Nichols, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nichols of Liddieville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty Stinson, the late Nolan Stinson, and the late Ann Temple, all of Winnsboro. She is a 2005 graduate of Franklin Parish High School and is currently attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe pursuing a degree in history education.

The prospective groom is the grandson of J.C. Nichols and the late Arabella Nichols, and the late Charlie and Effie Blaylock. He is a 1995 graduate of Baskin High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe where he earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing. He currently attends Northwestern State University pursuing a master's degree in nursing with plans to graduate in May 2009. He is currently employed at Richardson Medical Center in Rayville as an ER/OR.

The wedding will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2009, at two o'clock in the afternoon at Apostolic Faith Chapel in Gilbert.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend through this medium.
