posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The annual children's Christmas parade will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4. Children are encouraged to decorate their bicycles, wagons, battery-operated vehicles and meet in the parking lot behind the Methodist Church at 5:30 p.m.

The parade will be led by grand marshal Gaston, the green-nosed alligator, and will proceed down Prairie Street at 6 p.m. Other Christmas characters will also be on hand to walk the parade route. The parade will end at the Community Christmas Tree where refreshments and entertainment will be provided as everyone waits for Santa's arrival.

Photos with Santa will be available between 6:30 and 7 p.m. Santa will then lead the children to the Library Learning Center where they will watch "The Polar Express" and enjoy milk and cookies.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at the learning center.
