After-school program begins second session

The second session of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers After-school Program will begin on Monday, Oct. 27. The session will run through Dec. 11, offering two days of academics and two days of cultural activities to students who participate.

The 21stCCLC program is offered at Baskin, Crowville, Fort Necessity, Gilbert and Winnsboro Elementary schools. Facilitators are Angie Holder, Cynthia Swayzer, Esther Watson, Jennifer Henslee and Alice Prescott.

The 21stCCLC is an opportunity for students to receive help completing homework, extra time to prepare for tests and research real world applications. Children participate in cultural and recreational activities such as basketball, art, cheerleading, golf, chess and sewing.
