Jack H. Ingram
Funeral services for Jack H. Ingram, 84, of Winnsboro will be held at Beouf River Baptist Church today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jimmy Harper and the Rev. Marion Collier officiating.
Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mr. Ingram was born May 21, 1924 in Liddieville, and passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008 at Charlyn Nursing Home in Winnsboro. He was a resident of Winnsboro, a retired pipeline welder and member of Pipeliners Local Union #798 of Tulsa, Okla., a member of the Beouf River Baptist Church, and a member of New Hope Masonic Lodge #328 of Liddieville. He served faithfully in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Ingram was preceded in death by his father, Homer Ingram; mother, Bettie (Terrell) Ingram; brother, Dale Ingram; and sister, Clotiel Ingram.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Lee) Ingram, Winnsboro; son, Stanley Ingram, Winnsboro; daughter, Patricia Jones, Monroe; sister, Laverne Lewis, Natchez, Miss.; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephew and friends.
Pallbearers will be Mark Ingram, Matthew Ingram, Rubin Jones, Lee Jones, Millard Jones, and Robert Johnston.

C.D. 'David' Shivers
Funeral services for C. D. "David" Shivers, 72, of Jonesville, were held Friday, Sept. 26, 2008 at the chapel of Gill Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Perry officiating under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Shivers was born to the union of his parents Lawrence and Constance Shivers on Dec. 19, 1935 and passed from this life on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008 at his residence in Jonesville. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his parents; son: Glenn David and daughter: Melissa Funk.
He is survived by his companion and care giver: Marie Wade of Jonesville; daughter: Janice "Sissy" Holloway of Sicily Island; brother: Glynn Shivers and wife Jan of Jonesville; sister: Dorothy Ulmer of Monroe; grandson: John Duncan and wife Anna of Sicily Island; great-granddaughter: Laci Duncan; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Marie Rawls Temple
Services for Marie Rawls Temple, age 86, of Ruston, were held Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro with Dr. Ernest Winburn and Rev. Calvin Stapp officiating. Interment followed in Harris Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mrs. Temple was a homemaker and member of Magnolia Baptist Church. She loved reading, cross stitching and her grandchildren. She passed away on Friday, Sept. 26, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Joe Temple; parents: P.M. and Ethel Rawls; three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her daughter: Yvonne T. Crain and husband Melvin of Ruston; son: Billy Joe Temple and wife Phyllis of Alto; four grandsons: Jeff Crain, Greg Crain, Rodney Temple and Randy Temple; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister: Wannette Everett of California; brother: Jesse Rawls of Winnsboro.
Pallbearers were Gerald Walters, Cleon Rawls, Mike Hughes, Stacey Savage, Jeff Crain, and Randy Temple.

Clair Hoyt Lee
A memorial service for Clair Hoyt Lee, 81, of Winnsboro, was held at Apostolic Tabernacle, Winnsboro on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 with Rev. Michael Couch and Bro. Sammy Noble officiating.
Mr. Lee was born Aug. 30, 1927 in Eskbank, Canada and passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2008 at Cornerstone Hospital West Monroe. He was a resident of Winnsboro, a draftsman, and a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle.
He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orum Lee; mother, Flo Mable (Schafer) Lee; daughter, Terri Lee; brother, Milo Dwight Lee.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Hazel Mortlach (Goettler) Lee; two sons: Shannon Patrick Lee of Cupertino, Calif.; and Dana Richard Lee of Oroville, Calif.; two daughters: Vicki Diane Behnor of Bonnydune, Calif.; and Sandy Marie Hatton of Winnsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was also survived by 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Reginald 'Blimp' Spears
Funeral services for Reginald "Blimp" Spears, 33, of Winnsboro will be at Augusta Baptist Church at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008.
Burial will follow at State Place Cemetery in Gilbert, under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mr. Spears, a maintenance employee, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport.
Survivors include his wife, Quenetta Ross Spears, Winnsboro; two sons: Jaylon Spears and Branden Spears, both of Winnsboro; daughter, Karissa Hutto, Monroe; mother, Lillian Spears Campbell, Winnsboro; brothers: Donnie Spears, Monroe; Leroy Spears Jr., North Carolina; and Melvin Spears, Winnsboro; sisters, Tammie Spears, Waco, Texas; Tina Spears, Monroe; grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Mack Robinson Sr., Winnsboro; grandmother, Clara Moffitt, Winnsboro; father- and mother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ross Sr., Winnsboro; sister-in-law, Yvonne Quincy, Baton Rouge; brothers-in-law, Arthur Ross Jr., Monroe; Orlando Ross Sr., Delhi; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mary Holloway Smith
Funeral services for Mary Holloway Smith, 61, of Vidalia were held at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008 with Bro. Arlie Riley officiating.
Interment followed at Oakley Cemetery in Gilbert.
Mrs. Smith was born May 2, 1947 in Winnsboro and passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008 at Natchez Community Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Smith; father, Woodrow Holloway; mother, Hazel Wallace Holloway; and brother, James "Woody" Holloway.
Survivors include two sisters: Beanie Blaney, Cash Bayou; Judy Holloway Reed, Vidalia; and a host of other relatives.

Gracie Darlene Taylor
Graveside services for Gracie Darlene Taylor, 74, of Winnsboro, were held Friday, Sept. 26, 2008 at Crowville Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Howard Childs officiating.
Ms. Taylor was born Jan. 14, 1934 to George and Coley Moreland Taylor and she passed from this life on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008 at Franklin Medical Center.
She loved her animals. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: J.T. Taylor; three sisters: Dorothy Sims, Mattie Manning, and Ada Mae Taylor.
Survivors include two sons: Dale Taylor of Winnsboro; Jerry Taylor of Shreveport; one brother: Luther Taylor of Calhoun.
