Local students named to National Honor Roll Sixteen students from Franklin Parish have recently been inducted in the 2007-08 National Honor Roll. The National Honor Roll recognizes high school and middle school students who have achieved exceptional academic success. Induction in the National Honor Roll is an honor shared by a very small percentage of students nationwide.
Area students who qualified for induction to the NHR are Ryeshia Bush, Krystal Cardin, Martika Cheffin, Ashley Coleman, Savannah Garner, Kacie Hill, Raslin B. Hilliard, Ashley Homer, Brianna Ignont, Katie Kincaid, Hannah Lee, Nicholas Marchand, Kristyn Newman, Sean Scott, Kelsey Shirley and Krystal Wallace.
The NHR offers several benefits that can contribute to the success of its student members. For students recognized for the 2007-08 school year, NHR set aside $25,000 to be shared among 25 of its qualifying inductees. All members are entitled to compete for these NHR Awards for Academic Achievement, which will be awarded in December. |
