JAGGER AND SHELBY Smith each won national titles in recent karate competition in Houston. Jagger, 6, a first-degree purple stripe, is national kumite champ in his age group and placed third in kata. Shelby, 10, a second-degree purple belt, brought home the national title in kumite. The Smiths are students at Bob Allen Dojo and were sponsored by Homecare Re-sources, Hospice TLC, Sicily Island State Bank and Interstate Buick GMC. The karate kids belong to Guy and Sonya Smith.
